Architecture all over...

I am very lucky to be able to do a lot of architecture photography around Harare and Zimbabwe as well. One of my regular clients are the awesome Architectural Planning Studio who I have worked with for ages. APS always have a variety of projects on the go, from residential refurbs to commercial food outlets, housing developments, large scale projects and even hospitals! Check out some of the most recent work I have done for them, with the usual variety in scope and size! Also be sure to check out their services as well as my past work for them on their website here.

Vibrant interiors in Harare's CBD...

Architecture is definitely one of my favourite photographic genres and so when I was commissioned by Office Design to photograph their amazing new multi-purpose office space for Old Mutual Zimbabwe I was naturally thrilled. The concept of the shared working space is not new to the corporate world, but it is new to Harare and the team behind the design and implementation of the project have certainly created a world standard product. My brief was to showcase the project as a whole with wide angle shots and then focus in on some of the intricate design details. Check out some of the vibrant results below.

Holiday Inn Bulawayo...

I have been working with African Sun Hotels now for may years and during the course of 2019 most of their properties have been refurbished, so in January this year I was asked to head down to Bulawayo and capture the recent refurbs at the Holiday Inn Bulawayo. Most areas of the hotel had been refurbed so it was a particularly busy shoot covering the external views of the hotel, the rooms, restaurant, conferencing facilities, gym as well as a few lifestyle images for their social media platforms. Check out a few of the results below, and if you are ever in Bulawayo pop into the hotel to see the refurbs for yourself!

Modern interiors with Rainbow Tourism...

I am lucky enough to do a lot of work with one of Zimbabwe’s eminent tourism operators Rainbow Tourism Group and I recently spent a morning photographing their new room renovations at one of their leading city hotels. Which one is your favourite design?

Architectural and Planning Studio...

I have working with the talented team at APS for a few years now photographing all their superb architectural projects around Zimbabwe and southern Africa. Recently I had the opportunity to photograph two of their most recent projects; a renovation of a private residence’s verandah and kitchen as well as the construction of a new school classroom block. Check out the awesome results below!

New store for Nandos...

I have been lucky enough to have photographed all the stores for Nandos Zimbabwe in the past, so when they opened a new branch in Gweru, Zimbabwe I was asked to pack my bags and head out to do my thing. The brief was to capture all the different design elements in the brand new store at night as well as during the day. The images had to showcase the every angle of the store, without any people in the images so I had to work around the stores trading hours. This meant late nights and early mornings, but as I am sure you will agree the effort certainly yielded the results!

New Interiors for Office Design Co...

Office Design Co are a world class interior design studio in Harare who have been creating beautiful interior spaces for some of Zimbabwe’s largest corporates for over 20 years. So naturally I was thrilled when the directors Olly and Steve asked me to create some images of one of their recent interior designes for CABS bank. The brief was to capture a variety of wide angle shots of the whole interior space as well as a few close detail shots.

Client: CABS Bank, Old Mutual Properties.

Deloitte

When the worldwide accounting giant Deloitte asked me to photograph their new offices in Harare recently I was more than thrilled by the opportunity. Housed in one of the more recently completed office parks in Zimbabwe's capital Harare the space leant itself well to being photographed. I was asked to capture a variety of angles of the externals of the building at sunset as well as in the evening, placing emphasis on their brand name as far as possible.

Which image do you like the best? Feel free to email me and let me know your thoughts! A big thank you to the team at Deloitte Zimbabwe for the continued support.

All about the Architecture...

I am lucky enough to do a lot of architecture photography and so when Geoff and Graham from Architectural and Planning Studio got hold of me I was literally rubbing my hands together! APS have worked on a number of amazing projects around Zimbabwe and the region and they wanted me to visit their recent sites and capture a variety of images for their new website. So I was happily dispatched to the 4 corners of Zimbabwe as well as Mozambique to photograph all their hard work. The brief was to get a good variety of wide shots showcasing the project in its entirety and then focus in and look for engaging, abstract shots that really emphasise the design elements in each project. I covered some great projects including the shiny new Megahey library at Peterhouse school, KFC outlets in Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls to name a few. The project is ongoing but I think if you have a look at the results I have managed to produce so far you should be as happy as I am with the results!

I would like to extend a big thank you to the team at APS for their trust and continued support!

Luxury in the heart of Harare...

I am very fortunate to be able to travel all over Zimbabwe and southern Africa photographing luxury lodges, hotels and BnB's but luckily for me I only had to head around the corner to photograph the luxurious no 18 Guest Lodge in Harare.

Situated in the heart of Harare's northern suburbs is offers the perfect blend of luxurious comfort and homeliness. Its spacious interiors and open plan living areas made it a joy for me to photograph as space was never an issue and I could move around quite easily to ensure that I got the perfect angle every time.

As is the norm with any shoot of a tourism product the aim was to showcase all aspects of the lodge, from the public areas through to the rooms and the amenities on offer. As you can see from the images below the public areas are invitingly comfortable and well appointed.

The rooms where equally well appointed and offered a comfortable environment in which any traveller could unwind and relax.

The exterior of the guest lodge offers a warm, inviting facade as you drive through the gates.

The lodge also offers amazing facilities to its clients including a very healthy menu to choose from.
