There is a common misconception that the best time to see the bush is only when it’s dry and dusty. But my recent journey through Hwange National Park this April told a different story—one of incredible abundance and vibrant energy.
The "Green Season" is a revelation. I always feel a deep sense of gratitude for the luck of being able to witness these wild spaces when they are at their most lush. Every corner of the park is teeming with life; from the massive bulls moving through the thick emerald scrub to the brilliant splash of a Carmine Bee-eater against a verdant backdrop.
Life is plentiful, the waterholes are full, and the air is thick with the calls of a thriving ecosystem. It’s a reminder of why we work so hard to protect these precious landscapes.
